Looking down from this viewing point at Candes St Martin you can see the extent of the nuclear power station near to Chinon, and the steam vapour rising from it. It was the first nuclear power station to be built in France and is now 50 years old.
Also visible from this point is the confluence of the river Loire and the river Vienne.
