Le Concert

Sunday 21st June is a day of musical festivals being held all over France. Most of them are free of charge to the public . Our neighbour Marie-Claire was taking part in one such concert and she invited us along to watch.
There were pieces from Strauss, Elgar’s Pomp and circumstance (sung in English), and a tribute to Giuseppe Verdi .
The hall was packed with many people standing. The whole performance was excellent and we really enjoyed it. Below are a couple of photos of this memorable evening.
