Le scrapbooking des visiteurs, Septembre 2006
September 2006

Well we are approaching our second year here at La Mesangerie and our third Christmas. The time has just flown, we have been very busy with renovations and also friends coming over to stay. Above are a few snapshots of visits and visitors though some of the photos could be better!!!
They include a visit from our friends Margaret & Geoff who came over in September, the weather was great. You might be able to see Margaret and myself entering the Abbey at Fontevraud,Henry V, Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine are buried here. We also went on lots of walks which they said they enjoyed!!!!
Incognito on one of the snaps are our Friends Margaret & Paul(and a doggy looking character)they visited in June and went on to travel further down France and came back to stay on their way back to England.
Lucy visited in June and also came back in August with Mark. Amongst other things we visited the chateau at Breze which has a troglodyte chateau underground difficult to see too much on the photos. Also shown are our Friends in France Dave and Sue who came over for a meal whilst Mark and Lucy were staying. Christian and Danielle are the French couple from whom we bought La Mesangerie, they have become good friends and the photo shows a visit to their home, as you can see Danielle baked a cake especially for our visit!!
Well it’s back to the garden and the gathering of walnuts, looks like a bumper crop again this year. No doubt some of them will be wending their way to Angleterre!!!

We DID thoroughly enjoy the walks!!
Pity your walnuts weren’t ready for us!
Our tree wont bear fruit for some time.
Happy recollections of our Visit. Thanks again!
Will write soon.
