Shearing Daisy

April 2008

Shearing Daisy

Quite often during the year, we’ll have to give one of our dogs – Daisy – quite a severe haircut. She’s a wire-haired Jack Russell, and if left untrimmed, her coat can quickly become a thick bundle of straggly wires. Not only does this present a problem in the house, where the hair can often turn into a blizzard of unwanted pet fluff, but also means that Daisy can overheat in the hot days of summer. Being a very active dog (her interests include digging and yapping at passing traffic), she welcomes these cooling trims, as you can see from her relaxed salon posture above.

Our other dog, Lilly, has a very smooth coat, and does not need such maintenance.
