What have we been doing!!

November 2008

Well we have been busy over the last few weeks. Our first big job after our last visitors returned home was to cut down a very large out of control bay tree. This was no easy job as the tree was over 25 ft tall and over hanging part of our roof and was very close to one of the chimneys. It took us a few days but we are now fully fledged lumber jacks!!

We have been busy in the garden clearing leaves and generally tidying the garden ready for winter.

The barn is now fully stocked with logs to see us through until spring, although it has not been that cold up until now we had our first slight frost at the beginning of this week.

Anyway we have had many good times again this year with friends and family. Mark and Lucy even made a surprise visit for my 60th birthday which was great.

There are too many photos for them all to go on the website so here are just a few of those happy times.

Paul on a visit to the Tank Museum in Saumur. Margaret and I went shopping instead!! We had terrible freak weather during their stay hence a shortage of photos of there visit.

Gary’s cousin Victor came over in June fabulous weather and a great time.

Our friends Sonia, Lefkos, Joan and Malcolm came over at the beginning of August. Below are just a shapshot of the many laughs we had together. Lefkos seems to be absent from most of the photos!!!

Our friends Margaret & Geoff were over in September we had a great time and many laughs once again just a snapshot of their visit.

  1. Yes, we all certainly had a good time with you both. It is good to see the snamps of Sonia,Joan, Malcolm and Lefkos – a long time since the Merit days!. Where is the picture of the cheese I enjoyed so much? The B & B keeps improving! All the very best to you all as you prepare for Christmas.

    Love Margaret & Geoff.
